Writer & cultural observer chronicling books, events, and the quiet truths they leave behind. Manjima creates stories, reflects on reading journeys, and curates spaces where literature becomes conversation.
Igniting Ideas. Sparking Conversations.
Manjima Misra is a versatile and prolific author, columnist, and educator whose work spans creative writing, cultural reflection, book commentary, and the lived experience of literature. Her essays, reviews, and journalistic writing have appeared in leading national platforms including The Indian Express, The Telegraph, Deccan Herald, Outlook India, The Quint, Newslaundry, Firstpost, and Feminism in India.
Her books — across genres as diverse as literary fiction, middle-grade mystery, and AI-centred narrative non-fiction — include The Ocean is Her Title, Detectives of Autumn House, and Ink Over Algorithms. These works have received wide recognition and coverage in major media outlets such as The Hindu, Deccan Herald, News18, The Print, Business Standard, SheThePeople, Kitaab, and Borderless Journal.
A dynamic presence in India’s literary circuit, Manjima has collaborated with premier cultural institutions such as the British Council, India Habitat Centre, India International Centre, Alliance Française, Kunzum, and Oxford Bookstore. She has curated and spoken on panels that bring together some of the country’s most respected literary voices — writers, publishers, artists, and academics from Delhi University, Ashoka University, and Ambedkar University — creating spaces for dialogue, reflection, and collective thinking.
Her creative philosophy rests on the belief that literature is not only read — it is inhabited. Manjima writes about books as journeys, as ways of seeing and remembering differently, and often traces how stories travel through us long after a page is turned. Her work lingers in the quiet aftermath of reading, in cultural gatherings where words breathe aloud, and in the introspective moments that connect reader to writer.
Alongside her literary work, Manjima teaches as an IB English Language and Literature educator at Genesis Global School. She holds a postgraduate degree in TESOL from the University of St Andrews, Scotland, and a Master’s in English Literature from the University of Delhi.
Through both her writing and her presence in cultural spaces, Manjima invites readers to meet stories not merely as text — but as experience, memory, and conversation.
